Fashion's Night Out - NorthPark Center

Fashion's Night Out at NorthPark Center was defiantly the place to be in Dallas as the mall was packed with FNO guests and random people that picked a good night to go shopping. The people watching was a sight to see from the people dressed to the nines to the people you wonder why they left their house. Everyone added their own special styling touches and it gave my a lot of inspiration.

The biggest draw was the three fashion shows that NorthPark put on. The first fashion show showcased Nordstrom, bebe, Diesel and H&M. The second fashion show was dedicated to Neiman Marcus and featured Ken Downing's top 4 trends: Fifty Shades of Green, Borrowed From the Boys, Navy as the New Neutral, and Digital Prints. The last fashion show showcased Ted Baker London, Macy's, Pinto Ranch Fine Western Wear, Gap and Dillard's. There were swag bags at the fashion shows which is always a nice perk.

The next largest draw was Neiman Marcus and the place was packed wall to wall on all three floors. Neiman Marcus had many different events going on including: a screening of The September Issue, Jay Strongwater personal appearance, Manolo Blahnik Trunk Show, Lagos Trunk Show, meeting FENDI designer Anthony Luciano, celebrate 75 years of Ray-Ban, cigar rolling, photo booth, henna tattoo, fortune teller's, DJ's spinning, and lots of snacks and bubbly.

Also on display was Roberto Cavalli Red Carpet Retrospective which displayed 16 red carpet gowns worn by celebrities over the past 12 years. My favorite dress where worn by Heidi Klum, Victoria Beckham and Christina Aguilera.

Most of the retailers at NorthPark Center where participating in some form. Some had DJ's spinning, had bubbly to slip on, bits to snack on, gift with purchases, and special discounts for the night. My favorite part were retailers that changes their displays to promote Fashion's Night Out.

Fashion's Night Out (September 6th) at NorthPark Center was an overall good time. I had a fabulous time catching up with Shea, one of my best friends from college, and taking in all the fashion inspiration at the fashion show and through out the mall. Oh, I also learned that I have zero skills when it come to photography as I can take a better picture with my iPhone then my camera.

The only complaint I have over the whole night had to deal with the semi-poor organization around the fashion shows. After the first fashion show was over they made us all get back in line, which would have been fine, however they switched where the line started and didn't tell any of us that where patiently waiting that they moved the line. Then they removed the ropes and it was like a mob of people running to get a seat. I hope next year they come up with a better process.

For all those wondering which outfit I selected to wear at Fashion's Night Out the winner was...

Top: Loft
Jeans: Loft
Necklace: Forever 21
A fabulous hat from H&M...if only it wasn't $40!

Till next years Fashion Night Out and in hopes that I will be NYC!!
